Welcome to the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management
(JEIM)!
It is great pleasure to present the new issue of the Journal of Entrepreneurship
and Innovation Management. For our current issue, we have received quite high
number of papers from researchers in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and
other related subjects. We are thankful for those who supporting us by sending their
research results. We also received a great support from the reviewer to improve the
quality of the papers. Without their support it would not be possible to bring the
journal to this level.
In this new issue, we have different well addressed five research papers from
variety of topics of the R&D and economic growth, eco-marketing and innovation,
innovation strategies, technological innovation and environmental upgrading,
innovativeness and startup proactivity. We hope that this issue will also provide useful
information both researchers and professionals as well as it will also provide useful
information for policy makers.
Finally, I like to remind you that you can access all our past and current issues
with no charge. I strongly recommend you to read our publications and I believe that
this will be helpful for your current research and professional business.

The Causality Relationship Between R&D Expenditures, Unemployment, And Growth: The Case of TurkeyPurpose: The main purpose of the research, R&D expenditures in Turkey is to determine the relationship between economic growth as well as unemployment.
Methodology/Approach: Employing the ARDL bounds test and Toda-Yamamoto (1995) Granger-causality analysis, the relationship between R&D expenditures, unemployment, and growth by using annual data for Turkey were analyzed for the 1990-2019 period.
Findings: The obtained results reveals that one-way causality from R&D expenditures to unemployment in Turkey. In contrast to the causal relationship between R&D expenditures and unemployment, it is concluded that there is no causal relationship between R&D expenditures and economic growth, nor between unemployment and economic growth.
Practical implications: It has been observed that R&D expenditures are the cause of unemployment as of 1990-2019 periods.
Originality: Technology has become an important competitive factor, especially in recent years. In this context, frequent calls are made by both government authorities and large-scale enterprises to increase R&D financing and activities. In this study, covering a wide period of time of 30 years, the relationship between R&D expenditures, economic growth and unemployment in Turkey was revealed.

The Mediating Role of Eco-innovation Practices on the Relationship between Consumer Demand, Supplier Collaboration and Reducing Pollution in Manufacturing EnterprisesPurpose: To reveal the mediation effect of eco-innovation practices, on the relationship between consumer demand and supplier collaboration variables and reducing pollution variable.
Method: Data has been gathered from 203 manufacturing enterprises, performing research and development (R&D)
activities in Turkey. Structural equation modeling method was used to test the hypotheses.
Findings: Although there has been found a mediation effect of eco-product and eco-process innovations, regarding reducing pollution between consumer demand and supplier collaboration variables, a mediation effect of eco-marketing innovation has not been found.
Originality: The mediation effect of eco-innovation between consumer demand and supplier collaboration relationship in reducing pollution has been examined for the first time.With this study, it is aimed to contribute to the marketing and innovation management literature and to guide business management and decision makers.

Determination of Innovation Strategies and Application of Innovation Audit in a Company Operating in the Construction SectorPurpose: The aim of this study is to conduct an innovation audit in a company operating in the construction industry and to determine the company's innovation strategies.
Methodology/Approach: In the first stage, a survey is conducted with company employees for innovation audit through face-to-face interviews. In the second stage, a workshop is performed to determine possible innovation strategies.
Findings: The firm is a 2nd level structured firm according to the innovation maturity model used and imitative innovation strategy can be applied to many product groups in the company.
Practical implications: The results of the study can be used to support the establishment of the company's corporate innovation system.
Originality: The application carried out in this study is a real case study. It enriches the limited number of real cases in the literature.

Transformation to Green and Low-Carbon Economy in Turkey: A Situation AnalysisAs the rise of green economy and the restructuring of the manufacturing, developing countries gained significant upgrading opportunities. Global Value Chain (GVC) researches put emphasis on the role of lead firms as the main drivers of the green transformation. The argument is that supplier firms of developing countries in global networks have potential to gain environmental upgrading opportunities in their production processes. The developing countries such as Turkey have experienced a shift from the old technologies in many traditional sectors through ecological entrepreneurships and clean energy technologies. The aim of this study is to review rising green economy agenda in a theoretical framework and further examine the capacity of Turkey to participate in the implementation of green growth by the help of Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) Method. Relying on a mapping of the research and development (R&D) efforts of Turkish industrial clusters, the most innovative firms are highly agglomerated in specific zones in Turkey.

Responsive Market Orientation: A Qualitative Research on Turkish Startup CompaniesMarket orientation has a crucial role to drive superior value for customers. Marketing efforts reaching customers is to achieve business performance goals for startups as well as large sized companies. However, it seems that it is not very clear what activities under marketing strategies startups build to be market orientated. In this research, it is aimed to investigate the market orientated activities of startup companies based on three components of responsive market orientation following as customer orientation, competitor orientation, innovation orientation and additionally under a type of organizational culture as adhocracy orientation. Within this purpose, it is conducted a qualitative multiple case study on 6 Turkish startup companies which are located in Ankara. The startups are determined by theoretical (purposive) sampling and semi-structured face-to-face interviews are used for data collection. The data-treatment technique is ethnography based on content analysis.
