PURPOSE AND PUBLICATION PRINCIPLES
PURPOSE
The existence of the specialty journals in which publication opportunities are formed based on the sub-specialties of the science disciplines, which has been in effect for a long time in international literature, is unfortunately not a preconceived application, neither in our country nor in our branch. The long-term purpose of this journal, created to fill this gap, is to contribute to the analysis of the behavior of the consumers in our country and create a theoretical framework by means of forming a platform where the contributions towards understanding consumer and consumption behaviors can be directly published.
TARGET AUDIENCE OF THE JOURNAL
The primary target audience of the journal is marketing academics and practitioners. However, as consumer behavior is of the concern of different disciplines, those who carry out studies on or who are interested in different disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, psychology, economy, communication, history and education are among the target audience of the journal. The indirect target audience of the journal can be listed the individuals who are at the position of creating social policies and companies, families, education institutions and non-governmental organizations in a corporate level.
PUBLICATION POLICY OF THE JOURNAL
The journal will primarily include the theoretical, conceptual studies and discipline-research-based studies of the academics and researchers from marketing discipline, which may contribute on the analysis of the consumer behavior and the creation of a theoretical framework. The journal will have an equal approach towards the academics and researchers who work on the subject matter and on other disciplines listed above. The journal may also include the similar studies of the practitioners that may contribute to the subject matter.
The fundamental principles on the publication policy of the journal are as follows:
- The publication language of the journal will be Turkish; limited number of English studies will be included as well.
- English abstracts of the studies published in the journal will also be published.
- The journal will be published twice a year.
- For the purposes of the journal, advisory and referee board, which consists of adept and esteemed academics, will be formed.
- The editor will conduct the scientific procedures of the journal.
- The cover and page design of the journal, publication, subscriber transactions, sale and distribution procedures will be undertaken by the publisher.
- The contribution levels of the studies sent to journal on its specialty will be the primary matter of question. In this sense, the studies that are insufficient in theoretical and conceptual aspects will be returned to the author(s) by taking the opinions of the editor and if deemed necessary, one or two members of the advisory board without subjecting them to the referee process, accompanied with a justification.
- For field researches, qualitative and quantitative studies will be treated equally. At this point, the focus will be on the conformity of the application and analysis methods on the methodological infrastructure and subject matter, as well as whether they have been duly and correctly used and they actually contribute.
- The studies sent to the journal will be sent to the three referees related to the subject matter of study, following the examination of the editor and if deemed necessary, after taking the opinions of one or two members of the advisory board. The assessment of the studies will be concluded based on the results of the examination of the referees.
- The publisher will bear the responsibility to convey the issues of the journal to the central libraries of the universities in Turkey.
- If deemed necessary by the editor and publisher, some issues of the journal may be published with a special theme.
- The editor and publisher may also decide on carrying out seminars, symposiums and panel organizations which fall into the subject matter of the journal.
